Work / TCL × Douyin
Six young directors, six visions of people and AI: a corgi and a household robot lost in a snowbound city, a space-station repair that turns out to be a simulation, a boy on a poor planet who wants a robot for New Year. China's first AI-themed anthology, often called the Chinese Love, Death & Robots.

TCL wanted to be part of a cultural moment rather than an ad break. The answer was an anthology series released on Douyin over Chinese New Year, with TCL woven into the worlds rather than pasted on.
Development, director matching, production and release with Dirty Monkey Pictures and TCL. One recurring character, T-MAN, connects the six films.
Each director chose their own technique — hand-drawn feel, photoreal CG, 2D cyberpunk, Pixar-style 3D — with AI used for concept art, look development and shot generation where it served the film. Credits list the full animation and CG teams.
Six films, six posters, trailer and social cuts.
